We are always looking for volunteers. Please give us a call at 441-236-3319 or email us at ndfb@dancebermuda.org. Current Volunteer Needs The National Dance Foundation offers a year-round calendar of world-class training programmes to Bermuda's dancers, teachers and choreographers. A variety of the programmes require volunteer support and in the first instance the Foundation is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to oversee the activities of those giving their time and talent to support the master classes, teaching training and DanceBermuda programmes. This position will identify a core group of eight volunteers who will assist with class registration, transport for visiting teachers, and preparation of mailings to parents and students. It is anticipated that the Volunteer Coordinator will require 8 hours of donated time per month. This time will increase when programmes are underway (during one weekend each in January and April, and during three weeks in August). Those interested should respond to Khalilah Smith, Programme Coordinator at ndfb@dancebermuda.org or apply through The Bermuda Volunteer Centre.
We work closely with The Centre on Philanthropy, who are our neighbours at Charities House, as they introduce programmes that support and enhance the spirit of giving in Bermuda . One of The Centre's key initiatives is the introduction of an online Bermuda Volunteer Centre, where non-profit organizations can post information about opportunities for volunteering, and volunteers can search for organizations with whom they would like to donate time and/or talent. As a part of establishing a core of volunteers to help with the National Dance Foundation's programmes, we have established a Foundation database on The Bermuda Volunteer Centre. This means that if any of you are interested in helping us with any of our programmes, you will be able to log on to www.centreonphilanthropy.org , click Visit The Bermuda Volunteer Centre.
