Message from our Board Chairman, Donald Kramer
A creative outlet for both the physical and emotional spirit, dance is also a powerful catalyst for human development. Dance is as fundamental to our humanity as walking, running, seeing, speaking.

In fulfilling our mission to provide unique training opportunities to Bermuda’s exceptional dancers, we acknowledge our duty to manage our programmes and our funds wisely and openly.  Accordingly, as we move forward, we will put a variety of important controls in place, allowing us to make our dealings transparent, and to measure our performance against known objectives.

Central to our management approach is the imminent establishment of a more broadly representative Board of Directors, comprising individuals with professional dance experience, and those with the proven organization and development expertise and fund-raising skills. The Board will govern the allocation of resources to meet established aims, and will ensure an appropriate balance of educational and performance activity. Hallmarks of the Foundation’s governance will be quality, breadth of activities, consistency and accountability.

We also acknowledge in advance the critical importance of donor support, and commit to maintaining open and productive communication with our supporters. Benefactors can expect regular communication through open meetings, a new Theatre newsletter, and a detailed annual report with full financial disclosure.
